About the Role

Team Lead - IT Controlling
Location: Remote (Germany)

Our client is seeking a Team Lead for IT Controlling to oversee IT financial management and drive strategic, data-led decision-making. You will lead a small team, manage budgeting and forecasting, and ensure IT investments deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the IT Controlling team, ensuring effective financial planning and cost transparency.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial alignment with business strategy.
  • Manage IT cost control, performance tracking, and project controlling.
  • Provide clear financial reporting and strategic insights to senior management.
  • Drive process improvement and automation in collaboration with analytics teams.
  • Act as the key contact for IT Controlling across functions and leadership.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in finance or controlling leadership roles within complex organisations.
  • Strong expertise in IT Controlling and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Advanced SAP and Excel skills (Power Query/VBA); Power BI knowledge a plus.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
