Senior Controller The Opportunity If your controlling work goes into a pack that someone else presents, this role puts you closer to the decisions. You'll own consolidation, planning and group reporting for a global industrial manufacturer. Your numbers go straight to management, the board and investors, which means your analysis shapes what happens next rather than just explaining what already did. You'll also lead the business side of digitising the finance function. If you've ever worked around clunky systems and manual workarounds, this is your chance to fix them, with the visibility and backing to make the changes stick. The Role Lead group budgeting and forecasting, working with subsidiaries and running the scenario and variance analysis leadership relies on. Run monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation, including intercompany reconciliation. Contribute to the IFRS group accounts. Own the monthly management reporting and keep improving it, plus ad hoc analysis for senior leadership. Set group-wide KPIs, maintain reporting policies and support the audit process. Act as lead business user for consolidation, planning and reporting systems, and help shape ERP rollouts and automation. And with digitisation projects already underway, you'll help build better ways of delivering tax compliance, not just inherit them. The Role Own income tax compliance for German property-holding entities, plus fund vehicles and companies in selected European jurisdictions Handle real estate transfer tax matters in Germany Prepare monthly income tax provisions Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities and support the business through tax audits Coordinate external tax advisers in Germany and abroad Prepare documentation for statutory and internal audits Advise internal teams, investors and asset managers on tax questions Contribute to projects that digitise and streamline tax compliance The Company Our client is an established investment business with a sizeable real estate portfolio across Germany and other European markets. It's suited to a top-tier investment banking associate looking to move from advising businesses to helping build one, with direct exposure to leadership and investors. The Role Own the company's integrated operating model across revenue, margins, and cash. Build driver-based models connecting product usage, go-to-market activity, and growth economics. Design scenario frameworks used by leadership to guide decisions on growth, pricing, and investment. Translate financial and market dynamics into clear strategic narratives for investors and the board. Contribute to the company's equity story within the AI and software space. Partner with leadership on unit economics, pricing, fundraising, partnerships, M&A, and IPO support. Work with finance and automation engineers to translate financial models into structured logic for real-time systems. What You'll Need 4-5+ years in top-tier investment banking (technology coverage preferred), strategic finance, or high-growth tech. Strong financial modelling skills, including three-statement models, SaaS metrics, and scenario analysis. Capital markets experience.
