Senior Project Controller
Location: Germany (Remote)

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Controller to lead and support major finance transformation initiatives. This fully remote role offers the chance to steer projects strategically, oversee finances, and deliver executive-level insights across diverse teams.

About the Role

You will (co-)lead large-scale finance transformation projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor progress using project management tools, and provide clear, data-driven reports to senior leadership. Your work will ensure projects stay on track financially and strategically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or co-lead finance transformation projects, aligning teams and driving strategic outcomes.

  • Track project progress with tools like Jira or MS Project, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and budget control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Assess project impacts on overall financial plans, promoting transparency and proactive risk management.

  • Deliver executive-level reports with actionable insights on progress, costs, and strategic implications.

Requirements

  • Structured, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English (Spanish a plus).

  • Proven project management experience with MS Project, Jira, Primavera, or iTWO.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel in particular) and SAP for data analysis and reporting.

  • Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, and basic programming skills (Python) is a plus.

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration (controlling/finance focus), Business Informatics, or similar.
