Join an international organisation as Legal & Compliance Counsel, supporting a broad range of regulatory, compliance, and data protection matters across Europe. In this role, you will work closely with the compliance and data protection teams to strengthen governance frameworks while also gaining exposure to emerging environmental and ESG regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on compliance and regulatory matters, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, whistleblowing, and trade compliance.
  • Support data protection and cybersecurity topics, including drafting agreements such as data transfer arrangements and terms of use.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal compliance policies and controls.
  • Work closely with the Data Protection Officer and the wider compliance team on governance initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and support compliance with environmental and ESG-related regulations.
  • Assist with the implementation of compliance programmes and internal training initiatives.

Your Profile:

  • Qualified lawyer in a major European jurisdiction.
  • Around 5 years’ post-qualification experience in compliance, regulatory law, or data protection.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and data protection regulations.
  • Interest in expanding into environmental and ESG-related regulatory topics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international environment.
  • Fluent English; German is advantageous. Chinese language skills are highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Munich.
