Senior Manager / Director IFRS Centre of Excellence
Location: Frankfurt

As Senior Manager / Director IFRS Centre of Excellence, you will lead the group-wide IFRS function and act as the central authority for complex accounting topics across Fresenius. You will shape and interpret IFRS policies, support strategic transactions, and ensure consistent, high-quality financial reporting across all business units and regions.

This role combines deep technical expertise with senior stakeholder management and offers high visibility within Group Finance and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and further develop the IFRS Centre of Excellence at group level.
  • Define, maintain and implement group-wide IFRS accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Act as the key contact for complex accounting issues, including business combinations, impairments, revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments and carve-outs.
  • Advise on IFRS implications of strategic initiatives, M&A transactions, restructurings and capital market activities.
  • Monitor and assess new and amended IFRS standards and lead their group-wide implementation.
  • Ensure consistent application of IFRS across all Fresenius entities in close collaboration with local finance teams.
  • Support external reporting, including annual and interim financial statements.
  • Serve as a key interface to external auditors, advisors and internal stakeholders.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in IFRS, gained in a large international group, audit firm or both.
  • Proven expertise in complex accounting topics and group reporting in a multinational environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Structured, analytical mindset with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a strong advantage.

Head of Group Accounting Location: Munich Our client is seeking an experienced finance leader to take full responsibility for the group’s accounting, tax, and compliance functions. This role requires overseeing consolidated reporting and ensuring effective financial governance across multiple entities.
