About the Role

Risk and ICS Manager
Location: Munich, Germany

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Risk and ICS Manager to support and strengthen their internal control system and risk management framework in line with group and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the internal control system (ICS), including operational, compliance, and MaRisk-related controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments (inherent and residual), document control activities, and propose improvements.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective actions and support process optimisation.
  • Support risk identification, including ESG risks, and assist in developing risk measurement tools.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., MaRisk), maintain documentation, and contribute to strategy updates.
  • Coordinate with group risk functions and provide regular/ad hoc reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits, data quality initiatives, and cross-functional risk topics.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in risk management, ICS, compliance, or audit.
  • Understanding of corporate and regulatory risk frameworks (e.g., MaRisk).
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or leasing preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Fluent in German; proficient in business English.
  • Reliable, independent, and structured working style with high professional integrity.
