Legal Counsel
Location: Hamburg
A role that inspires you
Step into a Legal Counsel role within an internationally active energy trading group at a pivotal stage of expansion. You will take end-to-end responsibility for the legal function, working closely with senior leadership while building robust, scalable legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for all domestic and international group entities.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice to management and business units on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, supply, offtake, and logistics-related agreements.
- Establish and continuously improve contract standards and legal processes.
- Oversee corporate governance and entity compliance across international subsidiaries.
- Support the development and optimisation of the group’s international corporate structure.
- Coordinate disputes, litigation, and external legal advisors.
- Support compliance initiatives and develop expertise in regulatory, sanctions, and trade-related topics.
Your Profile:
- Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist or equivalent).
- 2–5 years’ experience in corporate and commercial law, ideally within an international environment.
- Strong legal grounding with ambition to develop into a broad in-house leadership role.
- Experience in energy, commodity trading, shipping, or international trade is an advantage.
- Excellent German and English skills.
- Hands-on, solution-oriented working style with a high level of ownership.
