Commercial Lawyer Location: Cologne Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. You will provide expert contract and commercial law advice across sales, purchasing, retail, and product functions, supporting both domestic and international operations. Key Responsibilities: Advise internal teams on contract and commercial law matters, delivering clear and practical guidance. Review, draft, and negotiate national and international contracts, agreements, T&Cs, and contract templates in German and English. Coordinate external and international law firms on global projects and product compliance matters. Support litigation proceedings domestically and internationally. Develop and deliver legal training and seminar materials for non-legal colleagues. Requirements: Fully qualified lawyer (German: zweites Staatsexamen) with above-average exam results. Several years of relevant experience in an international law firm or in-house legal team. Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills, including complex distribution, purchasing, lease, and project agreements. Sound knowledge of distribution and antitrust law. Fluent German and business-level English; additional languages an advantage. Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to communicate legal matters clearly to non-lawyers.
