Take a leadership role in shaping accounting and tax operations for an international healthcare group. As Director of Accounting & Tax, you will drive financial reporting, tax compliance, and process optimisation while partnering closely with senior leadership to support strategic financial initiatives and long-term growth.

What you’ll be doing

You will:

  • Lead and develop the accounting team, supporting the strategic development of finance functions alongside the Group CFO.

  • Oversee monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB and prepare for IFRS adoption.

  • Ensure smooth execution of month-end closings, intercompany reconciliations, and VAT compliance.

  • Act as the primary contact for auditors and tax consultants, overseeing tax matters across the group.

  • Drive improvements in financial processes and IT systems, ensuring seamless integration with other business functions.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance accounting operations and financial reporting frameworks.

What you bring

You are a structured and hands-on finance leader with strong technical expertise:

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; additional qualifications such as International Accountant preferred.

  • Several years of experience in accounting, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong knowledge of HGB accounting standards; IFRS experience is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with DATEV, SAP Business One, or Lucanet.

  • Analytical mindset, structured approach, and passion for process optimisation.

  • Business-fluent German and English (C1 level or higher).
