The Role Design the group compliance framework: governance, policies, standards and clear lines of accountability. Track regulatory change and, where it affects the group, define the controls, owners and rollout plan. Run structured risk assessments to identify and prioritise compliance exposure. Measure what's working through targeted monitoring, meaningful KPIs and regular reporting to leadership, then make sure gaps get closed. Bring privacy together at group level, in partnership with the Data Protection Officer. Set up oversight for specialist regulatory areas, including trade compliance, so issues are owned, escalated and visible. Group Compliance Officer (Interim) Belgium (HQ) · Global Remit · Freelance / Interim Our client, an established international industrial technology group headquartered in Belgium, is looking for an interim Compliance Officer to lead its Compliance Management System across the entire global organisation. This is a senior, strategic role with real authority and a genuinely broad remit — spanning more than 30 legal entities across multiple geographies. About the Role Reporting to the local President and functionally to the Group Chief Compliance Officer, you will lead the Compliance team and take ownership of adapting, implementing, and continuously improving the Compliance Management System across the group. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, manage a team of Compliance Managers and Ambassadors, and hold budget, signature, and financial transaction approval authority.
