Compliance Manager - Export Control

Compliance Manager – Export Control  The Opportunity If you're currently firefighting export control queries from the sidelines instead of shaping how they're handled, this role gives you a seat much closer to the centre. You'll join a central Compliance & Data Protection function and take real ownership of export control and trade compliance for an internationally operating group. You'll work directly with the Chief Compliance Officer, advise stakeholders across multiple business areas, and have genuine influence over how the group-wide compliance management system is built and run. This isn't a policing role. It's an advisory one, close to the business, with the mandate to shape process rather than just enforce it. The Role You'll take the lead on: Advising on and developing the group-wide compliance management system, with a clear focus on export control and trade compliance. Supporting departments and group companies on export control, sanctions, customs, and foreign trade law. Working alongside the Chief Compliance Officer to develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and controls. Classifying operational cases that need elevated scrutiny under export control, sanctions, and customs law. Running compliance and export control risk analyses and putting mitigation measures in place. Tracking new legal and regulatory requirements and building them into existing processes. Supporting whistleblower case handling and internal investigations. Preparing compliance reports for management and committees, and supporting external audits. Designing and delivering training on compliance, export control, and integrity topics. You'll be trusted to run with these areas rather than have every decision second-guessed, which means your judgement will genuinely shape outcomes, not just tick boxes. The Company Our client is a well-established, internationally operating group with a compliance function that sits centrally and works across the wider business. Export control and trade compliance carry real weight here, not as a formality, but as a function stakeholders actively rely on when navigating complex, cross-border regulatory questions. What You'll Need A completed degree in law, business administration, or a comparable qualification. Several years' experience in export control, customs, and foreign trade law, including hands-on advisory and implementation work. Experience developing or monitoring a compliance management system within an internationally operating company or law firm. Excellent German and English, spoken and written. How to Apply Interested? Director Compliance & Business Integrity

Compliance Officer  The Opportunity If you've spent years building compliance frameworks around someone else's strategy, this is your chance to help write the strategy itself. You'll join a global organisation at a point where compliance is moving from policy enforcement to genuine boardroom influence. You'll report into senior leadership and have a direct hand in shaping how the business manages risk, ethics and integrity across its markets. This isn't a caretaker role. You'll be expected to build, challenge and modernise. The Role You'll translate global compliance strategy into a framework that works in practice, not just on paper. You'll advise senior leadership directly on compliance, ethics, governance and business integrity, which means your judgement will carry real weight in the decisions that matter. You'll lead policy development, risk assessments, training, due diligence, investigations and reporting across the business, and you'll track regulatory change closely enough to make sure it actually gets implemented, not just noted and filed. You'll lead and grow the compliance network, set the KPIs that prove the function's value, and work to build a genuine speak-up culture, one people trust enough to actually use. The Company Our client is a well-established, global organisation with an international footprint and a compliance function that's growing in scope and seniority. This is a business that treats compliance as a genuine seat at the leadership table, not a back-office formality. What You'll Need 7+ years in a senior compliance, legal, ethics or governance role Strong expertise in anti-corruption, fraud prevention, conflicts of interest, anti-money laundering and supply chain compliance Experience managing compliance programmes in international organisations Fluent English and German How to Apply Interested? (Senior) Corporate Compliance Manager  The Opportunity If you've spent your career executing compliance frameworks that someone else designed, this role gives you the pen. You'll sit at the methodological core of the Integrity function, shaping and governing the group-wide compliance management system rather than simply operating within it. You'll set the standards, frameworks and policy that the rest of the organisation works to, across its core compliance risk areas. The Role Define and maintain group-wide minimum standards for core compliance topics, including anti-bribery and corruption, supply chain due diligence, and antitrust law Design, implement, and continuously improve the compliance management system architecture in line with IDW PS 980 and other applicable international standards Own and govern the group's compliance policy framework, including the Code of Conduct, CMS policy, and supplementary compliance policies Act as the methodological centre of excellence within the Integrity function, providing structured frameworks, tools, and implementation guidance Define and maintain a structured compliance integration framework for mergers and acquisitions Consolidate and analyse group-level risk assessment results and prepare structured reporting for senior leadership and the Compliance Committee Act as a visible role model for integrity, supporting senior management in anchoring a speak-up culture and a zero-tolerance stance on misconduct The Company You'll be joining a global, multinational organisation with an established Integrity function and the scale to make a group-wide compliance framework genuinely matter, not just a policy document that sits on a shelf. Deputy General Counsel

Deputy General Counsel The Opportunity Most legal counsel find out about a deal after the commercial terms are set. What if you were the one shaping them? In this role, you'll act as chief legal advisor to the CFO, working on capital structure, investment decisions and corporate strategy from the start, not reviewing them after the fact. The Role You'll run the legal side of acquisitions and divestitures end to end: due diligence, antitrust filings and CFIUS submissions. You'll also structure equity, debt and securities lending transactions, and act as the primary regulatory contact for all M&A-related matters. Three specialist legal functions report into this position, covering M&A, capital markets and corporate transactions. You'll set the direction for all three, alongside managing the team's budget and development. Day to day, you'll also advise senior leadership on governance, handle non-claims litigation and regulatory examinations as they arise, and work closely with compliance leadership on oversight. You'll partner with Legal Operations on process improvements that affect how the wider function runs. The Company Our client is a major financial services group with a complex, deal-heavy legal function. Regulatory scrutiny is constant and the transaction volume is high, so this isn't a role where legal sits on the sidelines. You'll be in the room for decisions that shape the balance sheet. What You'll Need A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Admission to practise law in at least one US state Substantial experience advising US financial services companies on M&A, capital markets and governance, in-house or in private practice How to Apply Your CV doesn't need to be up to date.
