Legal Counsel The Opportunity If you're a qualified German lawyer with solid commercial experience and you've wondered what it would be like to move in-house at a serious European energy business, this is worth a look. The Role Reporting to the Head of Legal for Europe, you'll act as the primary legal contact for the German business. The work is varied and substantive: real estate, permitting, construction, commercial contracts, M&A support, regulatory compliance, and energy trading. No two weeks will look the same. You'll advise across business units on new project acquisitions and partnerships, which means involvement from the earliest structuring conversations through to contract execution. You'll also manage relationships with external law firms, with a clear mandate to keep spend efficient and hold suppliers accountable. This is a broad, senior individual contributor role with meaningful stakeholder exposure and the autonomy to shape how legal support is delivered in Germany.
