Join an internationally active medical technology organisation as Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel, combining strategic legal advisory with hands-on compliance leadership. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to business leaders, supporting commercial activities while strengthening governance and regulatory frameworks in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice to commercial and operational functions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, particularly distribution and service contracts.
  • Advise on indirect sales models and distributor lifecycle management.
  • Provide guidance on competition law, export controls, sanctions, and trade compliance.
  • Manage local litigation and coordinate external legal counsel.
  • Support corporate governance, data protection (GDPR), and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Implement and oversee the Compliance Management System.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and third-party due diligence.
  • Support internal investigations and remediation measures.
  • Ensure compliant interactions with healthcare professionals and public authorities.
  • Deliver training on compliance, anti-corruption, competition law, data protection, and export controls.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.

Your Profile:

  • Law degree with admission to practice in Eastern Europe or Central Asia.
  • 7–10 years’ legal experience in healthcare, medical devices, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong background in commercial contracting, particularly distribution and service agreements.
  • Expertise in compliance programme management and anti-corruption frameworks (e.g. FCPA, UK Bribery Act).
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare compliance, GDPR, and third-party risk management.
  • Strong communication and training skills with a business-oriented mindset.
