About the Role

Senior Legal Counsel

The Opportunity

If you're an in-house lawyer looking for broader scope, more autonomy, and a seat closer to the business, this is worth a read.

You'll join a global legal team supporting DACH operations for a well-established multinational business, taking on a role with genuine breadth: commercial contracts, competition law, litigation, compliance training, and policy work all sit on your desk.

This isn't a narrow contract-review job. You'll have real influence over how commercial risk is managed across the region, and act as a strategic partner to the business rather than someone brought in after decisions are made.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a wide range of commercial and compliance matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including construction-type agreements and distribution and channel terms
  • Advising on distribution, channel, antitrust, and competition law issues
  • Building and maintaining contract templates
  • Identifying legal and regulatory risk, and shaping policies to manage it
  • Managing claims and litigation
  • Delivering legal compliance training across the business
  • Supporting Legal Management with wider ad hoc legal work

The role covers the DACH region, with regular travel across the zone and occasional trips elsewhere in Europe, including some overnight stays. You'll work a flexible hybrid model, splitting time between home and the business.

The Company

Our client is a well-established, multinational business operating at global scale, with legal and compliance functions spanning multiple regions and business lines.

You'll join a Global Legal Team with clear structure and international reach, giving you exposure to cross-region and global collaboration rather than local matters alone.

What You'll Need

  • Fully qualified German lawyer, having passed both state exams
  • Fluent in German and English, written and verbal
  • In-house legal experience gained within an international company

Legal Counsel

Legal Counsel The Opportunity If you're a banking lawyer who wants more than a steady queue of contracts, this role is worth a look. You'll advise the board directly. You'll lead the legal side of strategic projects and organisational change. And you'll keep the day-to-day advisory work that keeps your technical skills sharp. It's a chance to shape decisions, not just review them after they've been made. The Role You'll join the in-house legal team as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, business units and group companies. The work is broad, which means no two weeks look the same. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, and be the first port of call for legal questions from client-facing teams. Advise the board, internal functions and group entities on commercial, corporate and banking law. Lead the legal workstream on strategic initiatives and organisational change, turning analysis into recommendations the business can act on. Monitor legislative and case law developments, assess what they mean for the business and propose a response. Help internal teams implement regulatory requirements correctly, and run training that makes legal obligations easy to follow. Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters, instructing and coordinating external counsel and auditors. Prepare internal reporting, including on customer complaints, and contribute to responses to regulator enquiries. Because you'll follow matters from the first query right through to board level, you'll build a view of the business that few in-house roles offer. The Company Our client is an established financial institution operating in a heavily regulated environment. Regulation shapes almost everything the business does. That means legal isn't a back-office function here. It sits close to the decisions that matter, and your advice will carry real weight. You'll also work across group companies, which gives you exposure to a wider range of structures and issues than a single-entity role would. What You'll Need Full German legal qualification, with both state examinations. Expertise in banking, corporate and contract law. Several years' professional experience gained at a bank or financial services provider, in consulting, or in a corporate environment. How to Apply Interested? Legal Counsel Capital Markets

Legal Counsel, Capital Markets The Opportunity Tired of legal getting looped in after the big decisions are already made? This in-house role flips that. You'll advise leadership directly on how capital markets obligations shape strategic decisions, not just sign off on paperwork once the direction is already set. You'll own the legal side of the business's public markets activity end to end: disclosure, contracts, policy, and everything in between. And you'll be the person regulators and outside counsel come to directly, not someone relaying instructions up and down a chain. The Role Advise on ad hoc disclosure, insider dealing rules, directors' dealings, and continuing disclosure duties Sign off on legal content in investor-facing publications, including annual and quarterly reports and market announcements Flag legal exposure in proposed business decisions by interpreting the relevant regulatory landscape Own the drafting and negotiation of capital markets contracts, keeping templates and precedents current Build internal policies, workflows, and training to keep the business ahead of regulatory change Act as the main point of contact for outside counsel and regulators The Company Our client has an established presence in international capital markets. Legal sits close to the business here, with a direct line into how decisions get made at the top, rather than being treated as a sign-off function bolted on at the end. What You'll Need Qualified lawyer in Germany, with First and Second State Examinations Solid post-qualification experience in capital markets law, gained in-house Experience handling high-stakes, complex legal matters at a strategic level Track record advising senior leadership and influencing decisions at the top Experience working across borders and directing external legal counsel How to Apply Your CV doesn't need to be up to date. Business Lawyer / Wirtschaftsjurist

Business Lawyer / Wirtschaftsjurist The Opportunity If you want ownership over corporate housekeeping across an entire group, not just one entity, this is worth a closer look. You'll take the lead on governance support, resolution documentation and corporate structural measures for a group of companies, working directly with the Head of Legal rather than several layers removed from decision-making. You'll also have real scope to shape how the function works, including driving forward legal tech and AI tools rather than just adopting whatever's already in place. The Role You'll prepare and support shareholder and board meetings, including minute-taking, and manage KYC requests. You'll draft and document resolutions, and keep corporate documentation and shareholding overviews accurate and up to date. You'll manage corporate structural measures such as mergers and conversions, seeing them through to legal effectiveness.
