About the Role

Legal Counsel - Insurance & IT

The Opportunity

This is a broad in-house counsel role within an insurance group with an international structure. The position covers corporate law, regulatory advice, competition and antitrust matters, real estate transactions and international contract negotiation. The legal team works directly with senior management, giving the role more responsibility, variety and proximity to decision-making than is typical for a comparable position.

The Role

  • Provide corporate and regulatory legal advice to entities across the group.
  • Advise on trademark, competition and antitrust matters, taking legal ownership of related projects.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, including those with an international dimension.
  • Support real estate transactions from structuring through to completion.
  • Work closely with business units and senior management.
  • Track legal developments and translate them into concrete recommendations for the group.

What You'll Need

  • Fully qualified lawyer with several years' experience as in-house counsel, a practising lawyer, or in a comparable role.
  • Solid knowledge of corporate law and financial regulatory law.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including in international settings.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
