Legal Counsel The Opportunity If you're a banking lawyer who wants more than a steady queue of contracts, this role is worth a look. You'll advise the board directly. You'll lead the legal side of strategic projects and organisational change. And you'll keep the day-to-day advisory work that keeps your technical skills sharp. It's a chance to shape decisions, not just review them after they've been made. The Role You'll join the in-house legal team as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, business units and group companies. The work is broad, which means no two weeks look the same. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, and be the first port of call for legal questions from client-facing teams. Advise the board, internal functions and group entities on commercial, corporate and banking law. Lead the legal workstream on strategic initiatives and organisational change, turning analysis into recommendations the business can act on. Monitor legislative and case law developments, assess what they mean for the business and propose a response. Help internal teams implement regulatory requirements correctly, and run training that makes legal obligations easy to follow. Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters, instructing and coordinating external counsel and auditors. Prepare internal reporting, including on customer complaints, and contribute to responses to regulator enquiries. Because you'll follow matters from the first query right through to board level, you'll build a view of the business that few in-house roles offer. You'll take the lead on governance support, resolution documentation and corporate structural measures for a group of companies, working directly with the Head of Legal rather than several layers removed from decision-making. You'll also have real scope to shape how the function works, including driving forward legal tech and AI tools rather than just adopting whatever's already in place. The Role You'll prepare and support shareholder and board meetings, including minute-taking, and manage KYC requests. You'll draft and document resolutions, and keep corporate documentation and shareholding overviews accurate and up to date. You'll manage corporate structural measures such as mergers and conversions, seeing them through to legal effectiveness. You'll manage register and notarial processes, and help drive the digitalisation of corporate housekeeping, including legal tech and AI tools. You'll work closely with Finance, auditors and notarial offices, as well as the Head of Legal. Data Protection Lawyer The Opportunity Tired of data protection work that never gets past the checklist stage? This role gives you a genuine seat at the table, shaping how a major organisation handles the legal side of connected vehicle technology and the data it generates. You will not be drafting the same declarations on repeat. You will be assessing brand new digital products before they launch and helping define the standards the business works to. The Role Advise business units across the organisation on all data protection matters. Assess new digital products from a legal standpoint and review data flows in connected vehicles. Develop the data protection strategy further, and draft standards, template contracts and declarations. Work closely with the Data Protection Officer, the Chief Digital Officer and data protection coordinators across departments.
