About the Role
(Senior) Tax Manager VAT
Location: Mannheim

Join an internationally active industrial services group as a (Senior) Tax Manager VAT, working at the heart of a specialised VAT team. In this role, you will advise on complex cross-border VAT matters, support digitalisation initiatives, and help ensure compliant, future-ready VAT processes across an international group environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a central contact for VAT-related topics across group companies, with a focus on cross-border matters.
- Coordinate legally compliant VAT accounting abroad in cooperation with local tax advisors.
- Drive the automation and digitalisation of VAT processes, including e-invoicing and VAT determination.
- Support the implementation of future VAT reporting requirements (e.g. ViDA).
- Provide professional support to shared service centres responsible for transactional VAT activities.
- Monitor VAT-related legal developments in Germany and the EU and assess their impact on processes.
- Design and deliver VAT-related training sessions.
- Support tax audits, process enquiries, and assess fundamental VAT issues.
- Manage interfaces between VAT and other tax types.
Your Profile:
- Degree in business administration, law, taxation, or a comparable qualification.
- Professional experience in value added tax with solid knowledge of the relevant legal framework.
- Ability to structure and prepare VAT-related data for accurate system representation.
- Tax advisor qualification is an advantage.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, confident manner, and team-oriented mindset.
- Business-fluent English skills for handling international topics.
- Willingness to develop cross-departmental solutions and continuously grow professionally.
