About the Role

Senior IT Controller
Location: Germany (Position is remotely based with occasional travel to Berlin on Monthly basis)

You will play a central role in building and advancing functional controlling with a focus on IT. Working closely with the IT leadership, you will steer budgeting, forecasting, cost management and performance control, ensuring financial transparency and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning in line with strategic objectives.
  • Own IT cost and performance management, including variance analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor IT KPIs such as operating, licence and personnel costs using real-time insights.
  • Manage and optimise IT project controlling, assessing costs, benefits and efficiency.
  • Deliver high-quality financial reporting and strategic insights for management decision-making.
  • Drive standardisation, automation and digital improvements in collaboration with Data & Insights.
  • Act as the main point of contact for IT controlling topics within central functional controlling.

Your Profile:

  • Strong experience in IT controlling within complex, multi-entity environments.
  • Confident stakeholder management and leadership mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
  • Proactive, improvement-oriented and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English.
  • Advanced SAP and Excel skills; BI tools (e.g. Power BI) or programming experience are an advantage.
  • Degree in business administration, computer science, economics or a comparable field with a finance/controlling focus.
