About the Role
Team Lead Controlling
Location: Wiesbaden
Our client is a well-established international technology business. They are looking for an experienced controlling professional to take on a senior business partnering role, supporting key business units and leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary finance business partner for your business unit, driving economic performance and serving as the first point of contact for all results-related matters.
- Lead and develop a team of 2–5 direct reports in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Deliver monthly performance analysis, identifying variances, risks and opportunities, and translating these into clear management recommendations.
- Oversee revenue, cost and profit analyses, budget-versus-actual comparisons and ad hoc reporting to ensure full transparency across the business area.
- Lead the annual planning cycle, produce rolling forecasts and contribute to strategic and investment decisions.
- Continuously improve controlling tools and reporting processes using modern BI platforms.
Your Profile:
- Solid experience in controlling or finance business partnering, ideally within a software, technology or similarly fast-moving environment.
- Degree in economics, finance or accounting, or a commercial qualification with specialist controlling training.
- Experience in R&D or project controlling is an advantage; prior team leadership experience or a clear appetite for people management is welcome.
- Confident user of BI tools and ERP systems; SAP experience beneficial, Tagetik knowledge a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and fluency in German and English.
