About the Role

Head of Information Systems

Our client is seeking a Head of Information Systems to lead and develop the Information Systems function during an exciting period of growth, digitalisation, and AI driven transformation.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for Information Systems and Business Applications across the organisation.

This is a leadership role that combines strategic planning, operational excellence, cloud infrastructure, security, governance, compliance, and team development.

You will lead a team of professionals and work closely with stakeholders across Technology, Security, Data, Product, and the wider business to ensure that internal technology platforms remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

As the organisation continues to invest in automation and AI-enabled workflows, you will also play an important role in supporting the adoption of new technologies and helping shape the future direction of the internal technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy for the Information Systems and Business Applications functions
  • Lead, develop, and scale a team of Information Systems professionals, including full disciplinary responsibility
  • Partner closely with the Group CTO on strategic technology initiatives and organisational development
  • Own the planning, operation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of the internal cloud based technology platform
  • Oversee the Microsoft cloud environment, including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint
  • Ensure high levels of service quality through effective SLA management and operational governance
  • Lead IT support and service delivery functions, including 1st and 2nd level support operations
  • Drive automation, digitalisation, and process improvement initiatives across the organisation
  • Establish and maintain governance, security, identity, and compliance frameworks
  • Own ISO 27001 compliance activities, including annual audits, recertification processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage technology vendors, external partners, budgets, and investments

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in a senior IT leadership position such as Head of IT, Head of Information Systems, IT Manager, or similar
  • Several years of of experience working with Microsoft technologies
  • Several years of leadership experience with full disciplinary responsibility
  • Strong experience operating within cloud-first environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Understanding of IT security, governance, identity management, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience driving transformation, automation, and organisational change initiatives
  • Interest in AI technologies, automation, and modern digital workplace solutions
  • Experience with ISO 27001 governance and certification processes
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and external service providers
  • Fluent German English language
