Head of IT Infrastructure The Opportunity If your current infrastructure role has settled into steady-state, this one hasn't. You'd be taking on a global hybrid infrastructure platform that's still being built out, with real scope to shape how it develops rather than just keep it running. You'll lead a global team of around 30 people across cloud, data centre, network, workplace and identity services, including Microsoft 365. You'll set the direction for a modern operating model, including how nearshore and offshore capacity fits in, and you'll have the budget and mandate to simplify, standardise and automate a platform that currently spans multiple regions. The Role You'll own the stability, security and cost-effectiveness of infrastructure operations worldwide, and the strategy behind where the platform goes next. Day to day, that means: Administering and operating the global firewall landscape Planning and executing rollouts, migrations and lifecycle activities Configuring firewall rules, NAT policies and routing changes Running regular rule set reviews and policy clean-ups Documenting changes and maintaining security documentation Troubleshooting network and security incidents alongside international stakeholders You'll be trusted to work independently on real infrastructure, not just tickets. This role offers hands-on responsibility across system administration, infrastructure operations and technical support within a collaborative and technically focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the operation, maintenance and modernisation of the internal IT infrastructure. Monitor server availability, services and automated data processing systems. Manage incident and problem resolution across Linux and Windows environments. Maintain and develop script-based automation and processing solutions.
