Senior IT Security Architect The Opportunity Are you ready to own a security architecture strategy from the ground up, not just execute someone else's plan? This role gives you the mandate to define and drive infrastructure security strategy over the next two to three years. You'll sit at the intersection of Infrastructure, IT Security, Management and the CISO function, turning strategic direction into real technical projects rather than sitting in theory. IT Infrastructure Manager A long-established, global business is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead its Cloud & Data Center Operations team. The role carries full accountability for availability, performance, and service quality across the platform estate, with direct influence over how cloud and data center operating models are developed, standardised, and automated. The Role Ensure stable, secure and cost-effective operation of cloud and data center platforms. Own SLA and KPI performance across platform services. Manage backup, recovery, high availability and business continuity. Lead capacity planning and lifecycle management. Manage external cloud, hosting and data center providers. Oversee incident, problem, change and capacity management. Support infrastructure and transformation projects, including build-to-run transitions. Ensure security, compliance and governance across the platform. Work closely with Information Security, IT Architecture and Application Management, with input into how team roles, processes and skills evolve. What You'll Need Several years' experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations or data center operations. Experience leading and developing teams, ideally in an international environment. Solid knowledge of modern cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Strong knowledge of virtualisation, compute, storage, backup, recovery and platform operations. Experience operating hybrid infrastructure and managing hosting, data center and cloud provider relationships. Knowledge of business continuity, high availability and disaster recovery. Good knowledge of ITSM processes (ITIL). Experience in infrastructure and transformation projects. Fluent German and English, spoken and written.

The Role You'll take ownership of enterprise firewall environments spanning cloud, data centre and branch locations across multiple countries. Day to day, that means: Administering and operating the global firewall landscape Planning and executing rollouts, migrations and lifecycle activities Configuring firewall rules, NAT policies and routing changes Running regular rule set reviews and policy clean-ups Documenting changes and maintaining security documentation Troubleshooting network and security incidents alongside international stakeholders You'll be trusted to work independently on real infrastructure, not just tickets. Your rule reviews and clean-ups directly shape how secure and how fast the network runs.
