About the Role

Group Accounting Specialist

If you've spent your career producing consolidated accounts without ever feeling like you're close enough to the business to make a real difference, this might be the change worth making.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on group accounting role at the heart of a fast-growing European business operating across multiple countries. The reporting environment is genuinely complex, and the work has real weight to it.

You'll play a central part in the preparation of IFRS consolidated financial statements, take ownership of accounting topics across both individual and group entities, and contribute to the ongoing development of consolidation and reporting processes. This is a role for someone who wants to be involved in the substance of the work, not just the mechanics of it.

The Role

  • Preparing IFRS consolidated financial statements, annual reports and accompanying notes
  • Handling complex accounting topics across individual and consolidated financial statements
  • Monitoring new and amended IFRS standards and developing group policies accordingly
  • Optimising consolidation and reporting processes to improve efficiency across group accounting
  • Producing management reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders and investors
  • Acting as the key contact for external auditors and accompanying audit processes
  • Contributing to international accounting projects and group-wide process development

The Company

A well-regarded European business with operations spanning multiple countries. The group is growing, the accounting environment reflects that complexity, and there's genuine scope to shape how things are done.

What You'll Need

  • Solid IFRS knowledge, with HGB a plus
  • Experience in a group accounting function, ideally within an international business
  • Confidence working with consolidation tools
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Fluent German and English, written and spoken
