Legal Counsel - Commercial Law Location: Bremen An international engineering and manufacturing group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team. This role focuses on contract and commercial law, supporting business units across a range of complex projects and operations. Key Responsibilities: Advise business units on contract and commercial law matters. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements (e.g. R&D, cooperation, services, leases, financing, NDAs, intra-group). Develop and standardise contract templates and legal processes. Handle legal issues relating to supplier insolvencies. Support projects from concept through to implementation. Assist with IP-related matters (trademarks, copyright, patents) in coordination with relevant teams. Conduct legal risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations. Monitor legal developments and assess business impact. Coordinate with external counsel, notaries, and authorities. Collaborate closely with internal legal teams and cross-functional departments. Requirements: Fully qualified lawyer (or equivalent, e.g. LL.M.). Several years’ experience in private practice or in-house. Strong expertise in contract and commercial law. Industry experience (e.g. engineering, manufacturing, construction) preferred. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
