About the Role
Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Dusseldorf
Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide legal and compliance support for their operations across the DACH region. This role involves advising on a variety of commercial and regulatory matters, working closely with business stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and support negotiations of contracts, including industry-standard construction agreements and distribution/channel terms.
- Provide legal guidance on antitrust and competition regulations in distribution and channel partnerships.
- Develop and maintain contract templates and legal policies.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks by contributing to policies and procedures.
- Manage claims and litigation processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Deliver training and support legal compliance programs.
- Provide additional legal support as required by management.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified lawyer authorised to practice in Germany (two state exams).
- Fluent in English and German (written and verbal).
- Experience working in an international corporate environment, ideally in an in-house legal role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex legal and commercial issues.
- Commercially minded with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
