As the German business grows, it needs a dedicated legal presence, and that's where you come in. You'll work directly with the Group General Counsel and decide what "legal" looks like here, from policy to process to precedent.  The Role Build the legal framework for the German entity from the ground up, aligned with group-level standards. Create internal policies, templates and approval workflows that speed up decisions and reduce risk across the business. Lead German employment law as headcount grows, including setting up the works council and managing co-determination duties. Own regulatory compliance across the relevant EU and German frameworks, bringing in outside specialists where you need them. Track export control and trade compliance requirements as the company enters new markets. Manage IP across patents, trademarks, copyright and licensing. Support investment rounds, cross-border structuring, due diligence and intercompany setups alongside the finance team. Act as the main point of contact for regulators, notaries and other authorities, in Germany and beyond. Advise leadership on the legal and risk implications of operational decisions, before they become problems. What You'll Need Seven or more years in legal or corporate law, with strong German corporate and commercial practice. Background working with regulated physical products, in certification, safety or manufacturing environments such as automotive, industrial machinery, hardware or medical technology. This role offers close collaboration with senior leadership and exposure to strategic legal initiatives within an innovative technology-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Advise management and business teams on commercial, corporate and regulatory matters. Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial and technology-related agreements. Support legal strategy, governance and compliance initiatives across international operations. Manage external counsel and oversee dispute resolution matters where required.
