What you’ll be doing

You will:
• Support the Accounting Governance and Projects function across the organisation.
• Act as a primary contact for accounting policies and technical queries.
• Provide expertise on specific accounting standards within a virtual Centre of Excellence.
• Ensure compliance with German (HGB) and international (IFRS) accounting standards, including monitoring and implementing updates.
• Review complex accounting issues and provide guidance to local finance teams.
• Support investment valuations and subsidiary accounting matters.
• Liaise with auditors and coordinate audit requests and documentation.
• Contribute to accounting projects, including ERP rollouts and implementation of new IFRS standards.
• Collaborate with corporate accounting and cross-functional teams on technical accounting matters.

Your work will directly ensure financial integrity and support the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.

What you bring

You are an experienced accounting professional with strong technical expertise:
• Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; German CPA qualification is advantageous.
• Proven experience in corporate accounting or audit.
• Strong technical knowledge of HGB and IFRS.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• High level of professionalism, commitment, and reliability.

Senior IT Controller

Senior IT Controller Location: Germany (Position is remotely based with occasional travel to Berlin on Monthly basis) You will play a central role in building and advancing functional controlling with a focus on IT.
