About the Role
Legal Counsel
The Opportunity
Tired of being handed contracts at the last minute, after the commercial terms are already set?
In this role, you're involved from the first draft to signature. You lead the negotiations. You sit alongside the business, not behind it.
Our client is expanding its in-house legal team, so this is a new seat, not a replacement. You'll have room to shape how the role works and real scope to deepen your expertise, in a team that invests in its people.
The Role
You'll be the go-to adviser on commercial and contract law for colleagues across the business. Day to day, that means:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements
- Leading negotiations with customers, suppliers and partners, representing the company's position directly
- Advising colleagues across the business on commercial and contract law questions
- Spotting legal risk early and finding pragmatic solutions that keep deals moving
The work is business-facing. Less theory, more helping colleagues close deals that hold up.
The Company
Our client is a well-established German industrial group that designs and delivers complex, high-precision technology. That makes for contract work with real substance: technically detailed agreements where both the commercial and the legal detail genuinely matter.
The business is building its in-house legal capability rather than relying on outside counsel, which tells you legal is seen as part of how the company does business.
What You'll Need
- German legal qualification (Volljurist) with strong results in both state examinations
- A solid track record in commercial and contract law, built in private practice or in-house within an industrial business
