About the Role
Head of Group Accounting
Location: Munich
Our client is seeking an experienced finance leader to take full responsibility for the group’s accounting, tax, and compliance functions. This role requires overseeing consolidated reporting and ensuring effective financial governance across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage consolidated financial statements on a regular basis, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and coordinating closely with auditors and tax advisors.
- Oversee accounting for complex corporate structures, including holdings, intercompany transactions, and special purpose entities.
- Support and guide international subsidiaries in maintaining consistent and compliant financial practices.
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies, managing intercompany reconciliations and cross-border transactions.
- Act as the primary contact for tax matters, working collaboratively with external experts to address compliance and optimisation.
- Provide hands-on accounting expertise for holding companies and special purpose vehicles, including complex entries and reconciliations.
Candidate Profile:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, or group finance, preferably with exposure to consulting, auditing, or investment-related environments.
- Familiarity with investor and banking reporting requirements is an advantage.
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
