About the Role
Head of Compliance (Interim, 6 Months)
The Opportunity
If you want an interim mandate where you run the function rather than keep the seat warm, this is worth reading.
Our client needs an experienced compliance lawyer to lead its corporate compliance function for six months while a permanent Head of Compliance is recruited. This isn't a caretaker brief. You'll own the compliance management system, set the direction on prevention, and have a direct line to senior management and the board.
For you, that means a clearly defined mandate, real authority, and a piece of work you can point to when the six months are up.
The Role
The focus is prevention: policy, controls, training and due diligence frameworks. You'll be the person making sure compliance works in practice across every jurisdiction the business operates in.
- Own and improve the corporate compliance management system across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead the human rights agenda, including supply chain due diligence and the reporting that goes with it
- Run preventive anti-bribery and corruption (ABAC) and anti-money laundering (AML) programmes, covering policy, controls and monitoring
- Advise senior management and the board on compliance and regulatory questions
- Lead the compliance team and work with colleagues across the business to keep compliance practical and embedded
- Manage relationships with regulators, external counsel and other key stakeholders

The Company
Our client is a high-profile international group with operations across dozens of countries. At that scale, compliance carries real weight: human rights, ABAC and AML are board-level topics here, not box-ticking exercises.
You'll come in with a clear remit and the backing to deliver it, working alongside a leadership team that takes prevention seriously.
