About the Role
Cloud Infrastructure Architect / Senior Kubernetes & OpenShift Engineer
The Opportunity
If you know Kubernetes and OpenShift inside out and you're ready to build a platform from the ground up rather than firefight someone else's, this is worth a look.
This is a 12-month contract, fully remote, with an immediate start. You'll take ownership of platform architecture decisions rather than just executing tickets against someone else's design.
The Role
- Design, deploy and continuously develop Kubernetes-based platforms, with Red Hat OpenShift at the core
- Automate platform operations and infrastructure provisioning end to end
- Own monitoring, logging and performance optimisation across the environment
- Keep technical documentation current, so the platform stays maintainable long after you've built it
The Company
You'll be working with a well-established IT services provider that builds and runs infrastructure for public sector clients across Germany. The work is mission-critical by nature: systems that need to stay reliable, secure and well-documented, for organisations that can't afford downtime.
What You'll Need
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift
- Proficiency with Terraform or OpenTofu, Ansible and Helm
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Fluent German and English
- A clean police clearance certificate (Führungszeugnis) ready before you start, and willingness to undergo the SÜ2 security clearance process (you don't need to hold it already)
