About the Role

Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Munich

Our client is a large, internationally operating business looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team, providing comprehensive commercial law support across multiple divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end legal advice to internal divisions - including sales, purchasing, R&D and quality - on commercial law matters across Europe.
  • Advising on general commercial and contract law issues, including cross-border aspects, with a business-oriented and risk-aware approach.
  • Representing the company's legal position with contractual partners.
  • Legal support for innovation projects and new business initiatives.
  • Managing external law firms, including quality and cost oversight.
  • Developing and maintaining contract templates, guidelines and standards.
  • Delivering internal training and workshops on relevant areas of law.
  • Contributing to AI-based legal tools and automated workflows within the legal function.

Your Profile:

  • Fully qualified German lawyer.
  • At least 5 years' experience at a commercial law firm and/or in-house at an internationally active company.
  • Strong expertise in German and international commercial and contract law.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, sound commercial awareness and a solutions-focused advisory style.
  • Affinity for digitalisation and AI-supported legal processes.
  • Fluent in German and English.
