Information Technology Service Management Specialist

ITSM Architect: Lead a Once-in-a-Generation Transformation at a Major German Business The Opportunity Most ITSM roles ask you to maintain what's already there. This one asks you to replace it. Our client is a large, established business in Germany - the kind of organisation that has operated at scale for decades and is now undertaking a full transformation of its IT service management landscape. Legacy tooling is going. A modern, ITIL-aligned operating model is coming. And they need someone to lead that journey from the front. This is a strategically visible, senior individual contributor role. You'll own the architectural direction of the ITSM process landscape, drive the platform migration, and embed AI and automation where it creates lasting value. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across IT and leave a genuine mark on how services are delivered across the organisation. The Role You'll be at the centre of a complex, enterprise-scale transformation. In practice, that means: Leading the reconceptualisation and redesign of the full ITSM process landscape, transitioning to a modern ITIL-oriented model Driving the operational migration from legacy tooling to a fit-for-purpose, automatable platform Defining and implementing testing and control mechanisms, handover points, and KPI frameworks that track and improve process maturity over time Ensuring stable IT operations through the standardisation and intelligent automation of core processes Providing technical leadership across other process roles in your assigned areas Integrating AI tooling into ITSM workflows as part of the broader digital transformation agenda Managing stakeholders from operational teams to senior leadership The Company Our client is one of Germany's most established large-scale businesses, with a significant workforce and a long track record of operating in a regulated environment. The IT organisation is mid-transformation: there's real appetite at senior level for modernisation, genuine investment behind it, and a mandate to do this properly. For the right person, it's a rare chance to drive meaningful, lasting change inside a business of real substance. The role is based in NRW, with flexible working arrangements. What You'll Need Fluent German and English Degree in business informatics or a comparable discipline At least 5 years in ITSM process architecture or process ownership, not solely in operations A demonstrable track record of designing and implementing enterprise-scale ITSM process landscapes Deep, practical knowledge of ITIL 4, including interface design, handover points, and KPI frameworks Experience migrating organisations off legacy ITSM tooling Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels, from operational workshops to executive conversations Experience working in regulated environments How to Apply If this sounds like the right next step, we'd love to hear from you. Your CV doesn't need to be up to date - send what you have, or just give us a call for an informal conversation.

SOC Lead

SOC Lead Ready to Build Something That Doesn't Exist Yet? Most SOC roles ask you to maintain. This one asks you to create. A global industrial technology business, over 175 years old and still innovating, has made cyber security a boardroom priority. They're building their CDC from the ground up, and they need a Lead who can architect the entire function: strategy, processes, automation, tooling, and a team of analysts to back it up. This is a rare opportunity to put your name on something. No inherited processes. No legacy decisions to unpick. Just a clear mandate, executive backing, and the freedom to do it right. What You'll Be Doing You'll take end-to-end ownership of the CDC — defining how it operates, how it scales, and how it matures. Day to day, that means: Designing and owning all CDC processes, SOPs, runbooks, and playbooks — building from scratch, not from a template Leading an automation-first approach: implementing and continuously improving SOAR capabilities to cut manual workload and sharpen response times Developing the CDC roadmap with a clear eye on regulatory requirements including NIS2 and ISO 27001 Acting as incident manager for critical events — staying strategic, not getting pulled into the weeds Integrating OT security requirements into centralised monitoring alongside IT environments Selecting, optimising, and managing the security technology stack — SIEM, SOAR, XDR Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 3–5 security analysts Reporting CDC performance to senior leadership through meaningful KPIs (MTTD, MTTR) The Company You'll be joining a global industrial technology business with a 175-year track record of innovation. The organisation operates across IT and OT environments at scale — which means the security challenges here are genuinely complex, and the investment behind this function is real. Cyber security has moved firmly onto the executive agenda. You'll have the organisational weight behind you to build this properly. What You'll Need Solid experience in a SOC, CDC, or Information Security leadership environment A process-first mindset — you think in workflows, not just incidents Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms and an instinct for automation Familiarity with SIEM and XDR tooling Working knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards — NIST, SANS, ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2 Experience leading and developing security analysts Business-level German and strong English — you'll need both Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and major incident availability How to Apply You can apply directly through this page, or reach out to the consultant listed in this advert if you'd prefer a conversation first. Your CV doesn't need to be polished or up to date — send what you have. If this sounds like the right move, we'd rather hear from you early than not at all.
