About the Role

Third Party Risk Officer
Location: Frankfurt

Our client is seeking a Third Party Risk Officer to manage a varied portfolio of external service providers, with a focus on outsourcing and ICT risk under DORA and other international regulations. You’ll assess risks, design controls, and support effective collaboration across a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational management of the Third Party Portfolio.
  • Improve and prioritise monitoring processes across different risk and asset classes.
  • Support the full third-party lifecycle: selection, due diligence, onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding.
  • Provide practical, stakeholder-focused guidance on third-party risks.
  • Identify improvements and help drive innovation in Third Party Risk Management.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, contributing to broader risk steering.
  • Work closely with international teams and stay aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.

Your Profile:

  • Degree or vocational training in business, commercial, or technical fields.
  • Experience in risk management, outsourcing oversight, or vendor risk is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, able to simplify complex topics.
  • Interest in regulations such as DORA, MaRisk, and EBA guidelines, and ability to apply them in practice.
  • Fluent German and good English skills.
  • Proactive, strategic, and collaborative approach.
