About the Role

Tax Manager

The Opportunity

If you've spent around five years in tax advisory or audit and want to own the work rather than bill for it, this is worth a few minutes of your time.

Our client is looking for a Tax Manager to take ownership of income tax and real estate transfer tax compliance across a property portfolio spanning Germany and several other European markets. You'll be the person tax authorities call, the person external advisers report to, and the person investors and asset managers come to for answers.

The role is remote, so you get in-house ownership without a daily commute. And with digitisation projects already underway, you'll help build better ways of delivering tax compliance, not just inherit them.

The Role

  • Own income tax compliance for German property-holding entities, plus fund vehicles and companies in selected European jurisdictions
  • Handle real estate transfer tax matters in Germany
  • Prepare monthly income tax provisions
  • Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities and support the business through tax audits
  • Coordinate external tax advisers in Germany and abroad
  • Prepare documentation for statutory and internal audits
  • Advise internal teams, investors and asset managers on tax questions
  • Contribute to projects that digitise and streamline tax compliance

The Company

Our client is an established investment business with a sizeable real estate portfolio across Germany and other European markets.

This role sits at the centre of the group's tax function, working alongside external advisers, auditors and internal stakeholders. For someone coming from advisory, that means seeing the full picture: the structures, the investors and the commercial decisions behind the numbers.

What You'll Need

  • Around five years' experience in tax advisory or audit
  • Fluent German and English

Senior Controller

Senior Controller The Opportunity If your controlling work goes into a pack that someone else presents, this role puts you closer to the decisions. You'll own consolidation, planning and group reporting for a global industrial manufacturer. Your numbers go straight to management, the board and investors, which means your analysis shapes what happens next rather than just explaining what already did. You'll also lead the business side of digitising the finance function. If you've ever worked around clunky systems and manual workarounds, this is your chance to fix them, with the visibility and backing to make the changes stick. The Role Lead group budgeting and forecasting, working with subsidiaries and running the scenario and variance analysis leadership relies on. Run monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation, including intercompany reconciliation. Contribute to the IFRS group accounts. Own the monthly management reporting and keep improving it, plus ad hoc analysis for senior leadership. Set group-wide KPIs, maintain reporting policies and support the audit process. Act as lead business user for consolidation, planning and reporting systems, and help shape ERP rollouts and automation. The Company Our client is a global industrial manufacturer with subsidiaries across multiple countries. It is actively strengthening its Group Finance team, so this is an investment in capability, not a like-for-like replacement. You'll work with finance colleagues across the international business, which gives your work reach well beyond head office. And because the function is modernising, you'll have room to influence how group finance works, not just keep it running. What You'll Need Strong IFRS and group consolidation expertise. 5+ years in group accounting, consolidation or controlling. Hands-on experience with planning, CPM/consolidation and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills. How to Apply Interested? Get in touch with the MAM Gruppe team for a confidential conversation about this role. Your CV doesn't need to be up to date.
