Legal Counsel - IT Law
Location: Bonn

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel specialising in IT law to support large-scale IT projects in a fast-paced international setting. In this role you will advise on technology contracts, public procurement, and IP matters while working closely with project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on IT and IP law, general civil law, and public procurement (tender) regulations.
  • Support and negotiate contracts related to large-scale software development and implementation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage legal risks and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Apply practical project management skills to align legal strategies with business objectives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of IT-related agreements and procurement documentation.
  • Assist with dispute resolution and support regulatory compliance in IT procurement and licensing.

Your Profile:

  • Qualified lawyer with strong legal exam results.
  • 8+ years’ experience in IT projects, combining law firm and in-house legal backgrounds.
  • Expertise in IT law, intellectual property, public procurement law, and general civil law.
  • Practical knowledge of large-scale IT project environments, including software development and implementation.
  • Business fluent in English, with an LL.M. or equivalent experience in English-speaking environments.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and project collaboration skills.
