About the Role

Senior Manager SAP

The Opportunity

If you've moved into SAP leadership and miss being in the system, this role is worth reading.

Most senior SAP roles make you choose: lead the team or stay close to the configuration. This one doesn't. You'll lead the SAP functional team and still be the person who reviews the config, cracks the hardest production issues and sets the design direction.

You'll own functional delivery across a broad S/4HANA landscape, with FI/CO at the centre. Your decisions shape how the whole platform runs, not just one module.

There's real work to do. Releases need stabilising, production support needs tightening, and the function needs the KPIs, SLAs and processes that turn a busy SAP team into a well-run one. If you like leaving things better than you found them, there's plenty of scope here.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of SAP functional analysts, senior analysts and external consultants
  • Owning functional solution design, configuration standards and architectural direction across S/4HANA
  • Stepping into the system yourself for complex configuration, troubleshooting and production issues
  • Taking ownership of production support, hypercare and post-release stabilisation
  • Driving a clean-core approach built on standard SAP functionality, configuration and Fiori
  • Overseeing integrations between S/4HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactors and third-party platforms
  • Setting the KPIs, SLAs, incident standards and support processes the function runs on
  • Working with business stakeholders to turn process requirements into scalable SAP solutions

Alongside FI/CO, you'll work across SD, MM, PP, PM, Ariba and Fiori. That gives you a view of the full end-to-end landscape, which is rare in a finance-led SAP role.

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years' SAP experience in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on S/4HANA experience, including at least one full lifecycle implementation
  • Deep FI/CO expertise across General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Product Costing
  • Experience leading SAP functional teams, in a direct or matrix capacity
  • A willingness to stay hands-on and work directly in SAP when needed

How to Apply

If this sounds like the balance you've been looking for, we'd like to hear from you.

Your CV doesn't need to be up to date. Send what you have, or just give the MAM Gruppe team a call for a confidential conversation.

SAP Senior Technical Manager

Senior Technical Delivery SAP Manager The Opportunity If the next step up in SAP usually means leaving the code behind, this role is worth a look. You'll own development, integration and security across an S/4HANA landscape, and you'll stay hands-on while setting the technical direction everyone else works to. Few roles put all three under one leader, and here the architecture and security decisions stay in-house with you. Partners deliver, but you set the standards and approve what gets built. You see the whole picture and can fix problems at the source instead of passing them across team boundaries. You'll also be the main SAP contact for auditors, which puts you in front of senior stakeholders and makes your work visible well beyond IT. The Role You'll lead a blended team of internal developers, security specialists and offshore partners. You'll be responsible for: Writing and reviewing ABAP, CDS, Fiori and BTP developments, and setting the standards the team works to Keeping the core clean by approving custom code only where standard SAP functionality falls short Owning the integration architecture between S/4HANA and SAP and third-party systems Taking accountability for SAP security, ITGC and SOX controls Holding managed service and hosting partners to agreed service levels, including upgrades and environment management Developing your team and building capability in-house What You'll Need 10+ years in SAP, with deep ABAP and CDS skills and at least one full S/4HANA implementation Development experience with Fiori, UI5 and BTP (CAP or RAP) Hands-on integration experience with CPI or PI/PO, APIs and IDocs SAP security and SoD expertise, with leadership-level ownership of ITGC and SOX controls Experience managing AMS providers and offshore teams, with enough Basis knowledge to validate their work How to Apply If you want a leadership role that keeps you technical, we'd like to hear from you. Sales Operations & Performance Manager

Sales Operations & Performance Manager The Opportunity If you've spent years fine-tuning someone else's incentive plan, this is your chance to decide what the next one looks like. The brief is clear. Review the current sales reward model across European markets, keep what works, fix what doesn't, and build new where it's needed. You won't be administering schemes. You'll be designing them, and proving whether they work. You'll sit where sales leadership, finance, HR and data meet, which means your work is seen at senior level and your recommendations carry real weight. The Role You'll start with an honest review of the existing model. From there, the shape of the work is yours. Run sessions with senior sales leaders to shape future reward approaches, and make the case for change when the data says so. Rework or replace elements of the current model, including designs built from scratch. Build consistent incentive governance across European markets, with targets and KPIs tied directly to business direction. Tailor plans to different roles, sales channels and countries, so each scheme fits the people it's meant to motivate. Measure whether schemes are actually changing behaviour and results, and adjust them when they aren't. Shape target-tracking reports and dashboards with IT, HR systems and data teams, so sales teams can see exactly where they stand. Bring an outside view of how leading companies approach sales pay, and use it to challenge internal assumptions. This is a role for someone who wants their fingerprints on the plan itself, not just the spreadsheet behind it. What You'll Need 5+ years shaping sales compensation and performance steering, in a sales or commercial excellence function or in consulting. Hands-on experience designing or rebuilding a significant incentive plan. Depth in quota setting, KPI design and variable pay. Confidence using performance data to test whether a scheme is working. Experience leading workshops with senior sales stakeholders, including pushing back when needed. Fluent English. How to Apply Interested?
