Head of Internal Audit The Opportunity If you've ever inherited an audit function and wished you could have built it your own way, this is your chance. Our client has grown to the point where it needs independent assurance, and there is no function in place yet. You will be the first hire. The methodology, the team, the audit plan and the culture are yours to define, with no legacy approach to unpick. Independence is built in from the start. You will report administratively into governance, risk and compliance, with direct access to the executive team you oversee. Your view reaches the people who need to hear it, unfiltered. The brief is assurance that is practical and commercially minded: a clear picture of the risks that matter most, and real help tightening processes as the group scales. The Role Build and grow your team in step with the business, setting working practices where rigour and collaboration go hand in hand. Design the audit methodology and governance, including the analytics and digital tools that let a lean team cover more ground. Map the group's biggest exposures and set both the annual and multi-year audit plan. Lead reviews end to end, from first scoping conversation to closed actions, across subsidiaries in several countries and central functions. Test how controls, risk processes and governance hold up in practice, and agree lasting fixes with the people who own them. Brief the executive team on significant exposures, giving an independent view and challenging where the evidence calls for it. Work closely with finance, legal, HR, risk and operational heads while keeping your objectivity intact. In this role, you become the go-to privacy adviser for an established international group. You'll report to leadership directly, which means your recommendations reach the people who make decisions and you see your advice shape how the business actually runs. Operational leaders stay accountable for their own risks, which means your time goes on judgement and direction, not chasing paperwork. Senior Internal Investigator The Opportunity If you've spent your career running investigations inside frameworks someone else designed, this is a chance to build your own. Our client is building out its integrity function and wants one experienced investigator to own it. You'll lead the most sensitive misconduct cases in the business, run the whistleblowing process end to end, and shape the ethics framework around both. There's no line management for now, so your time goes on the work itself rather than on people admin. You'll have real autonomy, a direct line to leadership, and the rare chance to put your name on a function from the ground up. The Role You'll be the person the business turns to when something serious goes wrong. That means: Leading high-stakes internal investigations across several countries, from scoping and interviews through to evidence and findings Designing the investigation process itself, so every case is impartial, well documented and privacy-compliant Owning the speak-up process: reporting channels, triage, and protection for the people who raise concerns Getting to the root cause of each case and working with business owners to make sure fixes stick Briefing leadership on major matters, emerging patterns and open risks Shaping the wider integrity programme, including anti-corruption, conflicts of interest and hospitality rules, backed by targeted training and advice Much of this doesn't exist yet in a mature form.
