About the Role
In-House Employment Lawyer: Shape the Legal Function at a Fast-Growing Healthcare Network
The Opportunity
If you're an employment lawyer who enjoys being at the centre of real business decisions, this is a role worth looking at.
Our client is one of the fastest-growing multi-site businesses in Europe. In just two years they've opened more than 30 new locations, with ambitious plans to keep expanding. Growth at that pace creates genuine legal complexity - and a genuine opportunity for the right lawyer to build something substantial.
This is a senior in-house position covering the full breadth of employment and works council law across the group. You'll advise leadership directly, take ownership of employment matters end to end, and be part of the growth story as it unfolds.
The Role
Day to day, you'll be the go-to for all things employment law across the business and its subsidiaries. That means:
- Advising the management board, HR and senior leaders on individual and collective employment matters
- Leading works council negotiations and managing co-determination processes
- Handling contentious matters, both in and out of court
- Developing employment law standards, policies and processes across the group
- Coordinating external counsel on matters outside employment law (such as corporate or contract law)
- Supporting business-wide projects, particularly those tied to growth and organisational change
The Company
Our client is a growing European business with more than 1,500 employees across Germany. They've expanded rapidly and they're not slowing down. The culture is collaborative and direct: short decision-making chains, open communication, and a leadership team that takes bold decisions.
What You'll Need
- Full German legal qualification (Erstes and Zweites Staatsexamen)
- Solid experience in employment law and Betriebsverfassungsrecht
- A track record of advising on complex matters independently
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders
