What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a global export compliance management system (CMS).

  • Establish and update group-wide export control policies, processes, and standards.

  • Conduct risk analyses to identify and mitigate export compliance risks.

  • Ensure compliance with international embargoes, sanctions, and trade regulations.

  • Advise business units on complex export control and contractual matters.

  • Support investigations and whistleblowing procedures related to compliance.

  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management on compliance risks and controls.

  • Communicate regulatory updates and ensure integration into company-wide processes.

What you bring:

  • Fully qualified German lawyer (Zweites Staatsexamen) with several years of relevant experience, ideally in an international corporate environment.

  • Strong expertise in national and international export control laws (EU dual-use regulations, German Foreign Trade Act, US export control, and sanctions law).

  • Experience in designing and managing compliance frameworks and governance structures.

  • Analytical, structured, and proactive working style.

  • Excellent advisory and communication skills in both German and English; additional languages are a plus.
