About the Role

CAPEX Controller

The Opportunity

If you've spent years reporting on investment decisions other people make, this is your chance to shape them.

An international manufacturing group needs a CAPEX Controller to lead investment planning across all of its companies. You'll be the person senior management relies on before committing capital, which means your analysis directly decides where the group puts its money.

You'll also own the financial side of a major SAP S/4HANA programme. Transformations on this scale don't come along often. Controlling the budget and shaping planning and reporting in the new system is experience that will set your CV apart for years.

And because the group is developing its investment policies and processes, you won't just follow a framework. You'll help build it.

The Role

  • Consolidate investment planning across the group, including budgets, forecasts and medium-term plans
  • Assess investment requests and business cases using ROI, NPV and payback analysis
  • Analyse variances against plan and recommend what happens next
  • Write the decision papers senior management uses to approve investments
  • Develop group-wide investment policies and processes
  • Manage and monitor the S/4HANA programme budget, and help shape planning and reporting in the new SAP environment

You'll work closely with finance, IT and international teams, with occasional travel.

What You'll Need

  • Three to five years' experience in controlling
  • Hands-on experience with budgets, forecasts and investment appraisals
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Fluent German and English

Senior Controller

Senior Controller The Opportunity If your controlling work goes into a pack that someone else presents, this role puts you closer to the decisions. You'll own consolidation, planning and group reporting for a global industrial manufacturer. Your numbers go straight to management, the board and investors, which means your analysis shapes what happens next rather than just explaining what already did. You'll also lead the business side of digitising the finance function. If you've ever worked around clunky systems and manual workarounds, this is your chance to fix them, with the visibility and backing to make the changes stick. The Role Lead group budgeting and forecasting, working with subsidiaries and running the scenario and variance analysis leadership relies on. Run monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation, including intercompany reconciliation. Contribute to the IFRS group accounts. Own the monthly management reporting and keep improving it, plus ad hoc analysis for senior leadership. Set group-wide KPIs, maintain reporting policies and support the audit process. Act as lead business user for consolidation, planning and reporting systems, and help shape ERP rollouts and automation. The Company Our client is a global industrial manufacturer with subsidiaries across multiple countries. It is actively strengthening its Group Finance team, so this is an investment in capability, not a like-for-like replacement. You'll work with finance colleagues across the international business, which gives your work reach well beyond head office. And because the function is modernising, you'll have room to influence how group finance works, not just keep it running. What You'll Need Strong IFRS and group consolidation expertise. 5+ years in group accounting, consolidation or controlling. Hands-on experience with planning, CPM/consolidation and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills. How to Apply Interested? Get in touch with the MAM Gruppe team for a confidential conversation about this role. Your CV doesn't need to be up to date.
