About the Role

Business Partner Purchasing Controlling

The Opportunity

Tired of producing procurement reports that nobody acts on? This role puts you where the decisions actually get made. You'd sit alongside procurement leadership as a genuine strategic partner, with your analysis feeding straight into board and CFO-level reporting.

The Role

You'd support procurement leadership in setting strategic and operational targets, tracking progress, and recommending corrective action when things drift off course. You'd take a seat in procurement decision-making itself, not just report on it after the fact.

On the controlling side, you'd build cross-site and cross-category analyses, set the standards and methodology for procurement controlling, and act as the central point of contact for analytics and self-service reporting. You'd define and monitor KPIs with leadership, validate procurement savings, and use data to challenge decisions where the numbers don't stack up.

You'd also own the financial side of the procurement function: monitoring personnel and operating costs, tracking budget adherence, flagging deviations, and supporting annual budgeting and forecasting. Beyond that, you'd drive cost competitiveness initiatives, build out dashboards and KPI systems, run profitability analyses and benchmarking, and monitor working capital improvements across inventory and supplier payment performance.

You'd support the Head of Central Procurement directly on governance: defining KPI frameworks, benchmarking the procurement organisation, tracking governance initiatives, and preparing materials for executive management. You'd work closely with the Head of Central Procurement, the CFO, operations leadership, business area managers and logistics.

The Company

You'd join a large, multi-site organisation with a central procurement function serving multiple business areas. It's a structure where procurement controlling has real visibility, reporting through to the CFO and executive board rather than sitting on the sidelines.

What You'll Need

  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering with a Finance or Controlling focus, or a comparable qualification
  • 6 to 9 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong procurement background
  • Experience as an SAP S/4HANA key user
