Archie Iqbal joined the firm on 11th May 2026, taking on the role of Principal Consultant with a focus on SAP permanent recruitment across Germany. His brief is straightforward: re-engage the SAP client and candidate relationships that MAM Gruppe has built over more than 15 years, and build the practice back into a serious force in the German SAP market.
That context matters. Before MAM Gruppe expanded into Technology broadly, Legal and Compliance, and Finance, it was an SAP search firm. The specialism is in the firm's DNA. Bringing in someone of Archie's calibre is less about launching something new and more about backing what was always there.
Archie has spent over 25 years working exclusively in SAP recruitment, across permanent, contract, and executive search. He has placed SAP Consultants, Project and Programme Managers, and Heads of SAP into roles at global enterprises, consultancies, and mid-sized businesses throughout Germany. His experience spans the full arc of the SAP ecosystem, from R/3 through to the S/4HANA transformation programmes that are keeping German IT functions busy right now. Few recruiters in this space have a network that broad or relationships that long.
He works primarily with CIOs, Heads of SAP, and senior technology leaders who are hiring into complex or business-critical SAP functions. These are not easy searches. The pool of genuinely qualified SAP professionals in Germany is not large, German-language capability narrows it further, and the S/4HANA wave has created demand that most organisations are struggling to meet through their existing channels. Archie knows where those people are and, more importantly, which of them are open to a conversation.
