A role that inspires you

You’ll play a key part in shaping a next-generation Linux operating system used by organisations worldwide. In this hands-on engineering role, you’ll contribute to the full development lifecycle — from architecture and design to implementation and optimisation — helping to build a secure, high-performance platform that powers innovative end-user computing experiences.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative environment where technical curiosity, creative problem-solving, and precision engineering come together to create real impact.

What you’ll be doing

You will:
• Plan, design, and develop core components of a modern Linux-based operating system.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure product quality, maintainability, and system reliability.
• Contribute to software design discussions and initiate improvements through refactoring and redesign.
• Develop, integrate, and test OS modules in specialised areas such as kernel, display, audio, hardware, or multimedia.
• Strengthen OS system security and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver outstanding results.

Your expertise will directly influence how organisations experience and secure Linux-based technologies in their daily operations.

What you bring

You’re an experienced Linux developer who enjoys tackling complex challenges and working within an agile, forward-thinking team.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable technical training.
• 7+ years of professional experience in Linux system development.
• Strong understanding of Linux architecture and subsystems.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Bash.
• Advanced skills in at least one specialised area (e.g., base system, kernel, hardware support, display, audio, bootloader, or window manager).
• A structured approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently on complex topics.
• A mindset that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

What’s on offer

• Hybrid working options with a base in Augsburg.
• The chance to work on a product used globally, influencing the evolution of secure Linux computing.
• A supportive culture where ideas are valued, and personal growth is encouraged.
• Long-term stability with the energy of a dynamic engineering environment.

Join a team where your technical expertise drives innovation — and where the systems you build empower people every day.

Cloud Platform Engineer (f/m/d)

Cloud Platform Engineer (f/m/d) Location: Munich, Germany – Hybrid A role that inspires you. Behind every great bank is an even greater platform. This is your chance to design it. You’ll be at the heart of a transformation — building a modern, regulated cloud environment that defines the future of digital banking. Here, reliability isn’t a constraint; it’s the canvas for your creativity. You’ll work alongside sharp minds who believe in automation, precision, and progress — crafting the invisible engine that powers financial innovation. What you’ll be doing You’ll take ownership of the platform that keeps one of Germany’s most respected financial institutions running at full speed. • Build and evolve a highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and on-prem Kubernetes. • Automate everything — from build to deployment — using GitLab CI/CD and DevOps best practices. • Partner with developer teams to streamline integration and accelerate release cycles. • Shape architectural decisions that influence how the entire organisation builds and ships technology. • Bring the future closer with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and automation that never sleeps. Your fingerprints will be on every system that keeps millions of transactions flowing securely every day. What you bring You’re not just a builder — you’re a shaper. Someone who sees beyond the code to the craft. • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field. • Proven experience with AWS or other major cloud providers. • Deep understanding of Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes orchestration. • Familiarity with TypeScript and CDK, and a passion for clean, automated deployment. • Experience with GitLab pipelines, SDLC workflows, and messaging systems such as Kafka. • You move confidently in Linux, think collaboratively, and communicate with clarity. • Fluent in German, comfortable in English, and fluent in technology. What’s on offer • A rare chance to shape the backbone of a modern banking revolution. • Hybrid flexibility with a culture built on trust, not micromanagement. • Freedom to influence architecture, automation, and innovation from day one. • Work with people who care about doing things right — not just fast. This isn’t just another platform job. It’s the kind of role where your work becomes part of something bigger — something built to last.
