Senior Commercial Manager This role covers the full commercial function on some of the largest capital projects in the country, from final settlement negotiations to the commercial approach to risk and cost across the full project lifecycle. It involves direct engagement with corporate decision-makers as well as project teams. Projects are delivered for clients in highly regulated, mission-critical industries, bringing significant risk exposure, tight margins and a fast pace. The Role Your quantity surveying background sits at the centre of this role. You'll lead the valuation, negotiation and resolution of change orders and claims across major subcontracts, drawing on strong measurement and cost analysis skills. You'll validate monthly cost-to-complete estimates, prepare budget performance and forecast-at-completion reports, and provide early-warning trend analysis based on detailed cost interrogation. Strong proficiency with SAP or a similar financial reporting system. Proficiency with Primavera, MS Project or similar project management software. You'll advise on major bids and large-scale construction projects, with direct input into contract negotiation and risk management during live tenders and execution. The Role Advise independently on complex project contracts across sales, service, and plant construction law, in Germany and internationally. What You'll Need A fully qualified lawyer with strong results in both state examinations. 8 to 10 years' experience in an industrial company or law firm.
