About the Role

Security Engineer Team Lead
Location: Berlin, Germany

Our client is seeking an experienced security engineering leader to build and drive a high-performing, delivery-oriented security team. You will take ownership of security across multiple products, bridging engineering, product, and information security to create measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a cross-functional security engineering team, fostering a modern, delivery-oriented culture among engineers and embedded security champions.

  • Ensure each core product has a defined security owner, with backlogs that are transparently planned, prioritised, and consistently executed.

  • Own end-to-end security backlog management - consolidating findings from audits, tooling, and external reports into well-structured tickets across relevant project boards.

  • Drive a Kanban-based workflow and champion cross-product improvements including reusable patterns, shared templates, and strategic refactoring.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Engineering Management, and the Information Security function, reporting to senior stakeholders and keeping security progress, risks, and capacity visible and measurable.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in software development, application security, or a comparable technical field, with at least 2–3 years in a lead role spanning multiple teams or products.

  • Degree in computer science, IT security, software engineering, or a related STEM discipline.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira or similar ALM tools, and strong familiarity with Kanban, CI/CD, secure SDLC, and common security tooling.

  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken), comfortable engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

  • Structured, pragmatic, and organised, with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and drive change without formal authority.

What's on Offer?

  • Hybrid working model.

  • In-house academy and external learning partners to support your growth.

  • On-site canteen with fresh daily meals and a fully equipped fitness centre with weekly classes.

  • Corporate benefits, job bike scheme, company pension, and regular team events.

Team Leader Software Development

Teamlead Software Development | Remote, Germany Tired of team lead roles where "people leadership" quietly turns into admin work and zero time in the codebase? This one is built differently. You'll lead a team of engineers, sit as an equal alongside the existing team leads, and still spend roughly half your week hands-on with architecture and code. You'll be joining a profitable, fast-growing technology group at a real inflection point. As the organisation scales, this role has been created specifically to bring stronger structure and people leadership into engineering, with clear room to grow as the company expands further. The Role Take full people management responsibility for your engineers across several product teams. Work with the Tech Leadership Team to set technical OKRs and help engineers deliver against them. Play an active role in interviews, onboarding and the ongoing development of new engineers. Stay close to the codebase for roughly half your time, contributing to architecture reviews and the modernisation of legacy systems. Operate as a peer to existing team leads, leading through clarity and technical credibility rather than hierarchy. What You'll Need Several years of experience as a team lead with direct, disciplinary responsibility for multiple engineers. A strong software engineering background and a genuine wish to remain technically hands-on alongside people leadership. Experience operating within a matrix organisation, with separate product and people leadership lines. A structured, empathetic approach to feedback, performance conversations and career development. Fluent German and confident working English.

Senior Requirements Engineer

Senior Requirements Engineer The Opportunity If you're a strong software engineer who's grown tired of pure delivery work and wants to get closer to clients, shape solutions from the ground up, and see the direct impact of what you build - this is a role built around exactly that. You'll be advising, designing, and delivering across complex IT projects, with the autonomy to try new approaches and the backing of a team that actually values good engineering. The Role You'll work directly with clients to understand their needs, model requirements, and design solutions that fit their world. That means thinking creatively alongside customers rather than just executing a brief, assessing technical feasibility with software architects, and helping shape the scope of proposals before work even begins. Day-to-day you'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early consulting and requirements engineering through to implementation support and ongoing operation. You'll also be integrating AI-supported methods where they genuinely add value, and building the kind of long-term client relationships where success is shared. There's real variety here. Projects are challenging and no two are the same. The Company Our client is a well-regarded business with a strong reputation for technical excellence and a culture that puts quality first. They're flat in structure, open in how they communicate, and serious about giving their people room to grow, whether that's through conference attendance, training, or simply the space to try something new and learn from what happens. The environment is collaborative, solution-focused, and built around people who care about their craft. What You'll Need A degree in computer science or a related field such as physics or mathematics Solid professional experience as a software engineer, ideally with Java or a comparable language Strong grounding in software architectures and development processes Experience in requirements management on software projects A practical, proactive approach to applying AI tools where they genuinely help Very good German and good English The ability to quickly get to grips with a client's world and communicate clearly within it How to Apply Send your CV to the MAM Gruppe team. It doesn't need to be up to date - send what you have, or just get in touch for a conversation.
