About the Role

SAP FICO Consultant

The Opportunity

If you've built SAP FICO templates before and want to shape one from the ground up, this freelance contract is worth a look.

You'll join a global manufacturing group as they run their first S/4HANA rollout, working on a standard, template-driven build with real influence over how it's structured.

Start: September. Initial term: 12 months, with strong scope for extension. Capacity: 100%, hybrid.

The Role

You'll take ownership of core FI and CO configuration:

  • General ledger setup, business partner configuration, and accounts payable and receivable
  • Cost centre accounting, profit centre accounting, and internal orders
  • Group accounting and consolidation across a multi-entity, multi-currency structure
  • SAP workflow design for approval routing and notifications within finance processes

You'll also work closely with the SD workstream to support Order to Cash from a finance data perspective, and help shape the FICO template itself: chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, and integration points across the group.

Because this is a first S/4 rollout for the in-house team, you'll be relied on to transfer knowledge as you go, not just deliver and move on.

The Company

Our client is a global manufacturing business running its first S/4HANA implementation across a multi-entity, multi-currency structure. The template you help build now will shape how finance operates across the group going forward.

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years of SAP FICO experience
  • S/4HANA experience
  • Comfortable working within a standard, template-driven implementation rather than a heavily customised environment
  • Fluent in English and German
