Legal Counsel A global organisation is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its central legal and compliance team, advising on business and commercial decisions and representing the organisation's legal interests in the Netherlands. The role also involves coordinating legal matters across affiliated entities in other jurisdictions, offering visibility beyond the Dutch market. The Role Draft, review, and revise contracts and other legal documents Support corporate governance, including maintaining corporate records, drafting standard corporate documents, and liaising with government authorities Research Dutch laws and regulations and prepare summaries for internal stakeholders Handle compliance tasks, including policy updates, internal reviews, and monitoring legal developments Support legal matters throughout the product lifecycle Coordinate external legal support and prepare internal communications, presentations, and training materials What You'll Need A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dutch Law (LLB / LLM) 2 to 4 years' experience in a legal department or law firm Knowledge of Dutch legal frameworks Fluent Dutch and English

Transactional work sits at the core of this position, with day-to-day legal coverage spanning employment, data protection and commercial matters. Cross-border work is part of the mix, with coordination of external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities: Supporting business acquisitions - M&A and transactional work is a primary focus. Employment law advisory across the business. Data protection and GDPR compliance. Managing external counsel on cross-jurisdictional matters. Pragmatic commercial and operational legal support. Your Profile: German-qualified lawyer. Background in-house or at a law firm with a focus on corporate/M&A. Transactional mindset — comfortable with acquisitions and commercial contracts. Solutions-oriented and able to operate in a fast-paced, lean team environment. Fluent in German and English.
