About the Role

Software Engineering Manager

The Opportunity

If you're already leading engineering teams but want more scope to shape technical strategy, this is worth a look. You'll lead multiple software development teams, with a genuine mandate to make AI-native engineering, including agentic tooling such as Claude Code, a standard way of working.

The Role

  • Provide people and organisational leadership across multiple software development teams
  • Drive SaaS and cloud strategy to maximise scalability and time to market
  • Establish AI-native engineering as a standard and make the productivity gains measurable
  • Ensure quality, security and regulatory compliance standards are consistently met
  • Align product requirements with business objectives and report to executive management

What You'll Need

  • Extensive experience in software development leadership, ideally in SaaS and cloud environments
  • Strong technical grounding in SaaS architecture, cloud/distributed systems, security and quality automation
  • Proven track record driving AI adoption in engineering teams, ideally with hands-on Claude Code or similar agentic tooling experience
  • Deep experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Lean principles, scaled across multiple teams
  • Fluent English and very good German

Senior Backend Engineer

Backend Engineer The Opportunity Our client is seeking a backend engineer to help build the real-time infrastructure behind an AI-driven conversation intelligence product. The team is small, senior, and focused on a problem most backend engineers rarely encounter: systems where a few hundred milliseconds of delay changes the outcome. You'd be working on the services that stream live audio, coordinate transcription and language models in real time, and generate in-the-moment guidance while a call is still happening - where speed and uptime aren't secondary concerns but the actual product. The Role Architect and maintain the real-time service layer and REST API that power the platform. Coordinate a multi-agent processing pipeline spanning external AI and transcription services, working to strict latency requirements. Design and iterate on the database structure supporting meeting data, transcripts, and generated insights. Take responsibility for system reliability, monitoring, and security across infrastructure hosted entirely within the EU under GDPR. Develop CRM integrations that support pre-call preparation and automatic logging of call outcomes afterward. Node.js, PHP, and relational databases, hosted on cloud infrastructure. What You'll Need Solid backend experience with Node.js and/or PHP/Laravel, and relational databases. Experience with real-time systems, queues, and API design under latency constraints. A security and privacy mindset, treating sensitive data with care by default. How to Apply Interested? Get in touch with the MAM Gruppe team for a confidential conversation about this role.

Team Leader Software Development

Teamlead Software Development Tired of team lead roles where "people leadership" quietly turns into admin work and zero time in the codebase? This one is built differently. You'll lead a team of engineers, sit as an equal alongside the existing team leads, and still spend roughly half your week hands-on with architecture and code. You'll be joining a profitable, fast-growing technology group at a real inflection point. As the organisation scales, this role has been created specifically to bring stronger structure and people leadership into engineering, with clear room to grow as the company expands further. The Role Take full people management responsibility for your engineers across several product teams. Work with the Tech Leadership Team to set technical OKRs and help engineers deliver against them. Play an active role in interviews, onboarding and the ongoing development of new engineers. Stay close to the codebase for roughly half your time, contributing to architecture reviews and the modernisation of legacy systems. Operate as a peer to existing team leads, leading through clarity and technical credibility rather than hierarchy. What You'll Need Several years of experience as a team lead with direct, disciplinary responsibility for multiple engineers. A strong software engineering background and a genuine wish to remain technically hands-on alongside people leadership. Experience operating within a matrix organisation, with separate product and people leadership lines. A structured, empathetic approach to feedback, performance conversations and career development. Fluent German and confident working English.
