Compliance Manager – Export Control  The Opportunity If you're currently firefighting export control queries from the sidelines instead of shaping how they're handled, this role gives you a seat much closer to the centre. You'll join a central Compliance & Data Protection function and take real ownership of export control and trade compliance for an internationally operating group. You'll work directly with the Chief Compliance Officer, advise stakeholders across multiple business areas, and have genuine influence over how the group-wide compliance management system is built and run. This isn't a policing role. It's an advisory one, close to the business, with the mandate to shape process rather than just enforce it. The Role You'll take the lead on: Advising on and developing the group-wide compliance management system, with a clear focus on export control and trade compliance. Supporting departments and group companies on export control, sanctions, customs, and foreign trade law. Working alongside the Chief Compliance Officer to develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and controls. Classifying operational cases that need elevated scrutiny under export control, sanctions, and customs law. Running compliance and export control risk analyses and putting mitigation measures in place. Tracking new legal and regulatory requirements and building them into existing processes. Supporting whistleblower case handling and internal investigations. Preparing compliance reports for management and committees, and supporting external audits. Designing and delivering training on compliance, export control, and integrity topics. You'll be trusted to run with these areas rather than have every decision second-guessed, which means your judgement will genuinely shape outcomes, not just tick boxes. You'll sit at the methodological core of the Integrity function, shaping and governing the group-wide compliance management system rather than simply operating within it. You'll set the standards, frameworks and policy that the rest of the organisation works to, across its core compliance risk areas. The Role Define and maintain group-wide minimum standards for core compliance topics, including anti-bribery and corruption, supply chain due diligence, and antitrust law Design, implement, and continuously improve the compliance management system architecture in line with IDW PS 980 and other applicable international standards Own and govern the group's compliance policy framework, including the Code of Conduct, CMS policy, and supplementary compliance policies Act as the methodological centre of excellence within the Integrity function, providing structured frameworks, tools, and implementation guidance Define and maintain a structured compliance integration framework for mergers and acquisitions Consolidate and analyse group-level risk assessment results and prepare structured reporting for senior leadership and the Compliance Committee Act as a visible role model for integrity, supporting senior management in anchoring a speak-up culture and a zero-tolerance stance on misconduct The Company You'll be joining a global, multinational organisation with an established Integrity function and the scale to make a group-wide compliance framework genuinely matter, not just a policy document that sits on a shelf. Senior Compliance Officer The Opportunity A fast-growing, regulated business operating across Europe is expanding into the German market and building out its compliance function to support that entry. This role carries a mandate to help establish how compliance operates in-market, rather than maintain an existing setup, with direct involvement in how the business engages with the regulator from the outset. The Role Own operational compliance across the German entity, keeping activity aligned with regulatory expectations. Advise on product governance, vulnerable customer policy, conflicts of interest, outsourcing, and conduct risk for current and upcoming products. Lead the review process for marketing and promotional material, ensuring it clears regulatory standards before release. Drive compliance projects end to end, working cross-functionally to meet agreed deadlines. Maintain compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are followed in practice, not just documented. Build relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing practical, tailored compliance guidance.
